Save Alaska's Tongass Rainforest

   

Sponsorship for “Alaska’s Tongass Rainforest” Documentary
The documentary follows the M/V Liseron on an eco voyage to explore the incomparable rainforest and marine life of the Tongass National Forest region along Alaska’s inside passage. It will reveal the wisdom learned from the forest told by its original Tlinget and Haida Native leaders. Jim Fowler, of Mutual of Omaha’s “Wild Kingdom”, will host the documentary.

As a sponsor you will have the opportunity to share in its success. This documentary as a comprehensive resource guide to The Tongass will be used by local, regional and national participating individuals and organizations in the following manner:

  • The documentary will have a lasting positive impacts on and provide solutions for the conservation of Alaska’s
  • Tongass Rainforest and cultural heritage.
  • The DVD is a common resource that illustrates the credible scientific and educational elements depicting the
    biodiversity of the region.

  • Support the production of the 1 hour PBS Documentary that will provide awareness and solutions for the conservation of Alaska’s Tongass Rainforest.

    Man must not only keep maintaining one of the most fragile ecosystems on earth but also provide for sustainable fishing, forest products, clean water and air for the local and regional community. The forests help moderate climate change by trapping and storing carbon dioxide and provide a host of collaborative biological benefits to the marine environment.
